Our First Blog
Welcome to our very first blog on our new web shop! We plan to use this area to update you regularly on all that is happening in the Ruby & Scarlet world by bringing you information on the products we sell; details of new suppliers; cooking tips and advice; recipes; and the latest news about the R&S team. We hope you will find these updates useful and a good read!
Our webshop has been well received but we are always looking for ways to spread the word that we now sell online, so please tell all your friends and family. The stock on the site is regularly updated, tweaked and added to, but if you have seen something in our Felixstowe store which is not currently available on the webshop and you would like to purchase it online then do please let us know.
Christmas in the shop was rather hectic at times, but it was wonderful to receive so many positive customer comments about the shop in general or individual stock items. Our adorable Santa tealight holders and decorations were extremely popular and we plan to bring more decorative items to the shop for Valentines, Easter, etc. Our customers also loved the scrumptious food lines from one of our new Autumn suppliers, Cartwright & Butler. Again, we will be adding some tasty new lines from this supplier over the coming weeks. Another new supplier was Walton & Co, and their gorgeous linens were great additions to the shop.
We are now busy re-stocking the shelves and preparing for the forthcoming seasons. Our new, marmalade-inspired window display has drawn some lovely comments from customers and we will continue to change all of our window displays on a regular basis to showcase the products we sell in the shop. In the next few weeks, we will be attending a number of trade fairs, where we will hopefully source some new suppliers and find plenty of exciting new products. Somewhat unbelievably, the first trade fair of the season will concentrate almost entirely on Christmas 2017 - to be perfectly honest, we really don't want to think that far ahead yet!!
Finally for now, our in-store sale is on-going. We have sale items dotted around the shop - including the last few pieces of Christmas decorations; various loose crockery items; and some lovely Beka pots and pans at greatly reduced prices.
